Woman taking their own boudoir photographs, sexy pictures, and even nudes is not about sex. While they can be very sexy, it’s about much more than that. It’s about a woman feeling free and comfortable enough to express her sensuality, her sexuality, and her prowess. It’s about being confident in the skin you’re in.
Women in particular have been unfairly judged and even condemned when it comes to that freedom of expression, which is something men rarely have to worry about. As women, this is about taking our power back, on our own terms, and expressing ourselves in whichever way we are comfortable with. There’s a key word for you, comfortable. Remember that. You do only what you are personally comfortable with. Nothing more. Nothing less.
My hope of writing this book was for women to discover their own power and to feel beautiful. And while it’s fun to take pictures to show off for someone (that’s where I started), it becomes empowering when you do this for yourself. To show yourself what you’re capable of, of how sexy, pretty, powerful, and beautiful you really are.
And guys, don’t worry. There’s plenty in it for you, too. Aside from the obvious. We have several other projects planned including quarterly soft-covered glossy picture books, special editions, always with new material, as well as other ideas in the works. T-shirts, anyone? Not necessarily nude T-shirts, although I wouldn’t rule it out, but more along the lines of funny shit I write. Of course, you can still buy the first book for your wife or girlfriend or even for yourself. Why you buy the book is really not my business, I just hope everybody who does gets something worthwhile out of it.
